American Fare with European Flare

Thank you for visiting my experiment.

A good question, why am I developing a cooking page within a real estate web site?

My first encounter with food preparation was inspired by my mother-in-law back in Russia.

She was an accomplished international chef presenting her talent to her son, my future husband.

Believe it or not, she single handedly prepared seven courses for our wedding dinner hosting over 80 guests.

Almost immediately I found out that the road to your man’s heart really goes through his stomach first.

So, I began my journey to my husband’s heart.

Very soon I realized that I’m not just trying to please my husband, but I love to prepare different dishes, experimenting with various ingredients and became very happy to see the smiling faces of both my husband and our guests.

When we left Russia (over 30 years ago) I knew that cooking would be my profession.

Fortunately, I had an opportunity to learn from and work with internationally renowned chefs.

Until 2002, I was the chef/owner of a few hi-end restaurants in Europe and USA.

But, that’s life; I acquired a chef’s professional condition - varicose veins and was forced to quit professionally cooking.

Because I obviously like to serve people, five years ago I joined my husband in real estate and I love it. I currently converse with my customers servicing their goals in real estate, however I reserve some time for my true passion of preparing dishes, using my family as guinea pigs.

I would love to share my passion for food with my neighbors, giving and sharing recipes. My expectations are that my small project will become a neighborhood forum, where we all can contribute to our passion for food and share our restaurant experiences.

This was my logic behind starting this venture.
